An annual exam is preventive healthcare at its best! Our female healthcare provider thoroughly examines you and screen for any health issues or abnormalities. This is an excellent opportunity for you to talk with one of our providers about any sexual or reproductive health concerns. We also provide information and education that can keep you healthy and happy.
Services provided during an annual exam include:
- Review of your health history
- Pelvic exam and pap smear (The pap smear checks for infection, unhealthy cervical cells, and cervical cancer)
- Breast exam
- Birth control counseling and supplies
- Evaluation of the need for additional health screenings such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) testing
Immediate Access to Birth Control
Typically, hormonal methods of birth control, such as the pill and injections are prescribed at an annual exam. However, a new patient can get a three-month supply of these methods with just a brief visit, and the annual exam can be delayed until a more convenient time. If you need immediate access to birth control and cannot come in to the clinic, we recommend using a condom until a visit can be scheduled.
We diagnose a wide range of common and rare, benign and malignant, skin diseases. We treat these with oral and topical medications, surgery, and other procedures.
